Start with a qualifying EnFin lease or PPA. You may purchase the system when you sell your home after five years of system operation, or at the end of the initial agreement term, subject to your contract.
Buy at the system’s fair market value at the time of purchase. Your final price is subject to your agreement’s pricing terms, including any applicable lower-price calculation.
How the purchase option works
When you can buy. The California sample agreements tie the five-year option to a home sale after the fifth anniversary of the system’s Commercial Operation Date. They also allow purchase at the end of the initial term, or if EnFin ceases operations without arranging a substitute provider. Good-standing, written-notice and payment requirements apply.
How the price is set. The PPA sample uses fair market value at the time of purchase, assessed by an independent appraiser. The California lease sample uses the lesser of fair market value or its contractual Purchase Calculation; the calculation described in that sample applies at the end of the initial term. A specific future price or discount is not guaranteed.
After you buy. EnFin’s maintenance and repair obligations end when you purchase the system. Prepaying a lease or PPA is different from purchasing the equipment and does not itself transfer ownership.

EnFin owns and monitors the system. Covered maintenance, repairs and labor remain the provider’s responsibility under the agreement, with applicable battery replacement and a 90% production guarantee during the initial 25-year term.
If production falls below the guaranteed amount, the agreement provides an underproduction reconciliation process beginning after the first 24 months and annually thereafter.
That creates accountability.

Under California’s current net-billing rules, sending excess solar electricity to the grid during the day may be far less valuable than using that energy yourself.
Battery storage allows an appropriately designed system to save daytime solar energy for expensive evening hours. It depends on the plan. A fixed-payment lease has a different payment structure from a PPA, which may include an annual increase. We’ll identify the starting payment, any increase and the agreement term before you decide.
03What happens if I sell my home?
EnFin’s levelized PPA describes transfer, eligible buyout and prepayment options. The requirements and costs depend on your agreement. Review those provisions before signing, and contact EnFin early when planning a sale.
04What if my roof needs work?
Your roof condition should be reviewed before the system is finalized. Ask for any necessary repairs, future panel removal and reinstallation responsibilities, and associated costs to be explained in writing.
05Will the battery power my whole home?
That depends on the equipment, charge, electrical loads and backup design. We’ll discuss what you want to keep running and which circuits the proposed system can support.
06Does requesting a review commit me to solar?
No. This form requests a conversation with Larry. We review your bill and available options online; you decide whether to move forward with a proposal. If solar does not appear to fit your home, we’ll tell you.

The EnFin lease described here does not include a contractual production guarantee. Any PPA production guarantee is based on the approved production estimate and does not guarantee utility-bill savings.
WHEN 25 YEARS HAS TO MEAN SOMETHING
A long warranty is only as reassuring as the organization standing behind it.
The residential solar industry has learned this the hard way. Harvard Business School reported that roughly 100 U.S. solar companies filed for bankruptcy protection from 2023 through mid-2026. Recognizable residential names in that period included Vision Solar, Titan Solar Power, SunPower Corporation, Lumio, Sunnova and Freedom Forever—the latter one of America's largest residential installers before its April 2026 Chapter 11 filing.
When an installer or dealer closes, its own workmanship, service or labor commitments may become difficult—or impossible—to obtain. Separate equipment-manufacturer warranties may continue, but only under the manufacturer's written terms and claims process.
That is why homeowners should evaluate more than the number printed on a warranty. They should also evaluate the manufacturer, the product, the written coverage and the organization expected to support it years from now.
